Wedding Ceremonies
Every ceremony should be a joyous declaration of committed lifelong love. Joining two soul mates together in this union is an honour, and it would be my absolute privilege to craft a ceremony that is authentic, inclusive, and joyous for your special day.
I will create your ceremony by spending some time getting to know you as a couple and as individuals. Getting to know you allows me to personalise a ceremony, that exudes your love, and will be a treasured memory for both you and your guests long after your special day.
Why Choose Me?
I love to celebrate the happy milestones in life. I will shape your story to create a heartfelt ceremony that fills you with joy and excitement. Your unique ceremony will reflect your personalities and love for each other.
“Let us always meet each other with a smile,
for a smile is the beginning of Love”
Wedding Rituals
There are many ways to enhance your ceremony through the use of these symbolic rituals. These rituals symbolise unity and coming together of two souls and families as one.
Unity Candle Ceremony
The unity candle ceremony has three candles, two outer candles which symbolise two families and the centre candle, which is normally larger, symbolises two families becoming one. This is a lovely ritual where two significant family representatives can get involved by lighting the outer candles.
Handfasting Ceremony
Handfasting is a particularly popular ritual, it is an ancient Celtic tradition which symbolises the joining of two people together by binding the hands together with ribbon or cord. It is where we got the saying tying the knot.
Sand Ceremony
In the Sand Ceremony couples often use different coloured sands or sands from different areas which are of importance to them. It is a lovely ceremony especially for blended families as the children can get involved. As the grains of sand are poured into a larger container it symbolises two families now blended and intertwined and united forever.
Wine Box Ceremony
This is a lovely ritual where the couple write love letters to each other and place them in a box with a bottle of wine. They do this with the view to opening the box on a designated date, enjoying a glass of wine and reading the letters, how romantic.
Rose Ceremony
In the Rose Ceremony, the Bride and Groom give each other a Rose. Two roses are all that is necessary. The Rose Ceremony is placed at the end of the ceremony just before being pronounced husband and wife. Beautiful: as a single red rose is a representation of love and romance.
Hand Ceremony
The Hand Ceremony is a part of your wedding ceremony where the two of you hold hands and appreciate how you will change, grow and mature over the life of your marriage through the actions you take with your hands. It can be seen as a ritual to draw you closer to one another.
